Welcome to The Decal Factory® award program!
The purpose for giving out
our awards is to reward business sites that use the Internet to increase sales by promoting their products,
service and business in a positive and creative method for their customers. We offer two awards to websites that are exceptionally well constructed
(read criteria) and that have a meaningful business website. All applicants should read our criteria and rules.
These are the two awards that we grant to business sites that meet our requirements.

Site Criteria
The Business Awards are given out based on (2) two major areas: Design and Content.
DESIGN
of a web site is the
cornerstone to a successful online business.
This is where customers will establish a lasting "first impression" of your business. It must show some originality of thought in design, theme, general layout, graphics, and textual material. It does not have to be fancy or high-tech, plain and simple work is just fine as long as it gets its message across. The overall presentation should make the visitor want to come back.
- Site must be well organized and easy to navigate and each page should have reasonable load times.
- The
site "Awards" and "Links"
pages must be search engine friendly and search
engine indexable.
- Must be in English
(or have an English version) and free of typographical and spelling
errors; must show proper use of grammar.
- Must contain NO broken/dead links, missing
graphics or any pages which are "under construction".
- Web sites whose main content is links to other sites will not be considered.
- Photos
should be optimized for improved site performance.
- Must
NOT contain strong, offensive, or suggestive language,
any adult-related material or links, illegal
activities or links to them, "warez" or links to
"warez", MLM content or links to them; promotion
of spamming through buy "our list and get
sales" type schemes; get rich schemes, we'll
make you wealthy schemes, we'll make you
successful schemes or language that boarders on
such schemes or, where if you "buy" our
program, etc., our "secrets to success"
will make you successful type schemes. We
mean it!
And must not discriminate against any race, creed, or religion.
CONTENT
of a web site is the main reason a customer or visitor will
buy your product, use your service and return to your business.
- The message should be clearly visible to read with the background
colors and or graphics. The information should educate, instruct,
and provide the benefits of your product or
service to the buyer.
- It should be easy to understand and when technical words are needed to explain a point, an easy to read translation should be provided.

Photos should be used with written explanation of what the item is and why the buyer should consider
owning the product or using your service.

Content that is family friendly as well as business friendly (professional and worthy of the visitors time and money).
- The
site "Awards" and "Links"
pages must be search engine friendly and search
engine indexable.
- Must
have a privacy
statement clearly posted.
- Must
NOT contain strong, offensive, or suggestive language,
any adult-related material or links, illegal
activities or links to them, "warez" or links to
"warez", MLM content or links to them;
promotion of spamming through buy "our list
and get sales" type schemes; get rich
schemes, we'll make you wealthy schemes, we'll
make you successful schemes or language that

The Business Excellence Award is granted to
online businesses that meet
all our criteria, has a
secure shopping cart, and is promoting their business in a professional manner.
These sites should also have their privacy
statement clearly posted on all pages. Sites should
also be either ICRA
Content Rated, SafeSurf
Rated or equivalent rating service. Contact information should be full, easy to
use, and accessible from all pages. This award is only given to the
best business sites.
The Web
Stickiness Business Award is granted to a Website that is a
commercial site that meets our criteria. Not easy to win but worth the effort.
Sites are reviewed within five days of receiving your application form.
We will email you, win or lose. Our awards are FREE. We
do not require you to link to us prior to winning either
award. Once you win, however we really would appreciate
a link back to this page at the URL below. After all, you
want your visitors to know the criteria your site meets!

Please let us know where you have placed
our award on your site by E-mail.
If your application is
declined, you can assume that
your site has failed one or more of our criteria and we encourage you to review your site with those in mind.
You are always welcome to make changes and reapply!
Decal Factory reserves the right to modify its criteria
without notice.
Our
criteria is posted for a reason. They are not that
strict or difficult to meet, but do reflect some basics
of Internet standards. If your site(s) meet them, fill
out our application below.
Please
note: We no longer issue "awards" or
"reciprocal links" to sites whose "Awards"
and "Links" pages are not search engine
friendly and fully search engine indexable. Since our
"awards received and given" pages as well as
all our "links" pages are fully indexable and
searchable by all search engines, we fully expect and
require yours to be as well if you wish to receive our
award or obtain a reciprocal link from The Decal
Factory®. Links, whether in the form of an award or
reciprocal link directly impact on a sites search engine
ranking and placement. Which means it directly impacts
hits and visitors to your site.
The
reason for this change is simple: The Decal Factory®
receives over 5-million hits per month and
raising monthly. Sites that want us to place their links
on our pages, but place our awards and reciprocal links
on non search engine searchable pages are attempting to
take unfair advantage of The Decal Factory®'s business
reputation, Internet popularity and standards expressed
through our awards.
But
the issue is deeper than this: The Decal Factory®'s
"Awards" have become a sought after "seal
of approval" so to speak. Receiving our awards
actually "means something" to the receiving
sites reputation and to its visitors perception of the
site. They have become a mark of "ethical surfing,
shopping and business standards" having been
reviewed, at least in outward appearances, which is all
we have to go by when we review the site.( We are not
responsible for the content and business practices of
any site but our own, and recommend applying common
sense principals when dealing with any business site you
are not familiar with).
The Decal Factory® is doing its part through its awards
program and links pages to help make the Internet a
better place. Our awards and links pages "get
used" by our visitors and are viewed as a quality
source out to reputable sites. Making sure that our
links on those sites can be found freely through search
engines helps to insure and assure visitors that
"The Best" is out there and can be found.
